Are you planning on having a baby soon? Or, in fact, any time in the future?
You need to read this.

We spend so much of our lives learning how not to get pregnant, that we can assume that, once we’ve decided we want a baby, it will be as simple as coming off the pill and doing the ‘no-pants dance’.

Unfortunately, for many, it doesn’t quite happen like this.

Whilst there are aspects about our fertility that we have little control over, like our genetics or age, one emerging area of interest in the field of fertility is around our microbiome.

Science has recognised the power of a healthy microbiome for increasing your chances of falling, and staying, pregnant.

In this newsletter, you can:
  • Learn about the FOUR microbiomes involved in fertility, in this article by Nutritionist Clare Carrick.
  • Read a review by Dr Fathalla Ali which provides a more detailed look at the science and studies behind this fascinating area of research, in this article.
  • Learn how your pre-pregnancy microbiome can have a significant impact on your chances of conception and also of a healthy, full-term pregnancy in this short video.
