You’re 28.

You’re smashing your professional goals one-by-one and loving life. You’ve got a boyfriend, but you don’t live together because you’re both too busy excelling in your careers and you like your freedom.

Relatives are starting to ask “Is he the one?” and friends are commenting on how cute your babies will be, but you’re not sure about it all. Life is too fun right now. You’ve always assumed you’ll have babies one day, but definitely not right now…

3 years later. You’re 31. You’re newly single…

Turned out that guy wasn’t exactly right after all. Your career is going great guns, but you have started to experience a niggling feeling… ‘is this all there is to life?’

Your friends are staying in more often than not. You’ve been to more weddings and baby showers in the last 6 months than you can count on one hand. You sign up to Bumble to see what all the fuss is about.

Fast forward 4 years. You’re 35.

Your boyfriend (Toby) of 6 months is great, and things are starting to get serious. Between the insane amount of hours you spend in the office, your new-ish relationship, and your gym membership, you have no time left to yourself…high levels of stress, and even higher levels of UberEats boxes in your apartment.

Then, your younger sister has a baby…

You’ve never really been into babies…but this niece is different…special…

You suddenly understand what it feels like to be clucky…but it’s too early to mention it to Toby now, right? You’ve only been together 6 months!

You bottle it up for another day.

You’re 39. You’re married and happy. You finally feel ready to start trying for a baby, not that you have any idea how you’ll fit looking after a baby into your hectic lifestyle! But you want it so bad.

You and Toby start trying. You almost can’t believe it when the first test is negative!
